• Initial issue: Matches with folks looking for jobs can get a bit too transactional - not necessarily inspiring action

• Want to change what Climate Careers does (see Climate careers content future)

Ideas for improvements / what sparked the idea:

• Change categories

  • Current categories: Time zone based

  • Ideas for categories:

    • Local areas for local action?

    • I want to talk about… finding a new job vs. ideas for action in my role vs. global actions and movements vs. ???

• Clearer guidance on open conversations

• Themed rounds - can’t really be forced

• Improving response rate

• Getting more people to sign up

• Event for matching people together on particular themes

• Job seeking support group and having #cat-roulette more focussed on bigger discussions about the tech industry, our roles, what climate action looks like locally or at work or in our communities

Steps:

• Get more people to sign up

  • Figure out how it could show up in the newsletter

  • Mention #cat-roulette in announcements & during events
